The novel coronavirus pandemic that has been sweeping the globe since the start of the year has undoubtedly had a profound effect on the way we live and work, presenting formidable challenges to individuals and companies alike. Amid all of this, the tenacity of everyday individuals has become apparent: despite the tremendous burden placed on our healthcare systems, frontline medical staff are tirelessly and selflessly working to care for others in need.

”I’m proud to announce that W5 Group, my investment office, is the lead sponsor of Serving the Frontline — a coalition of seven Miami restaurants that is committed to serving our local healthcare heroes with fresh, delicious meals every day of the week. It’s the least we can do: our frontline hospital workers are working long hours, risking their health and often experiencing separation from their families in order to save the lives of others. To date, we have delivered thousands of freshly cooked meals to provide these essential workers with some form of comfort and respite as they bravely battle this crisis.
The restaurants participating are Naomi’s Garden, Ristorante Fratelli Milano, Vista, Carrot Express, Coyo Taco, Baby Jane Cocktail House & Eatery and Bebito’s. Their leadership and staff members have enthusiastically lent their support to this admirable effort, which has simultaneously minimized job losses and furloughs.
