Ralph Winter is a successful European entrepreneur and real estate investor. In addition to founding and taking public one of the continent’s largest real estate platforms, he was a pioneer in student housing and micro apartments. Ralph amassed large scale portfolios (over 35,000 units) in those sectors before they became mature institutional asset classes.

Ralph’s success stems from his experience and tenure as the founder and major shareholder of Corestate Capital Group in Europe. Ralph built Corestate to become one of the leading fully-integrated investment management real estate companies in Europe. It is an S-DAX listed company in Frankfurt and currently manages EUR 25bn assets and EUR 12bn in equity capital with over 730 employees in 7 countries. Corestate has generated a transaction volume of more than EUR 34bn and raised equity in the amount of EUR 12bn.

Prior to founding Corestate in 2006, Ralph was involved in landmark transactions for a total of EUR 5bn. Notable transactions include GSW (EUR 2.1bn) in Berlin, BauBeCon (EUR 1.2bn) in Hanover, numerous distressed real estate portfolios (EUR 0.8bn) and building a retail portfolio (EUR 1bn).

One of the current investment targets is co-living. Co-living connects alternative living with the advantages of a social club and exciting community. W5 Group recently committed $300 million to Quarters, a Medici Living Group brand, headquartered in Berlin, to aid its expansion in the United States.

Ralph is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Real Estate Management Institute (REMI) of the European Business School and the IREBS Immobilien-akademie. He is also on the Executive Committee of ULI Germany and on the Board of Directors of Best Buddies.
